Metro Atlantans rally for Trayvon Martin
The crowd filled the Georgia Capitol front steps and spilled on to Washington Street as activists held a rally in support of Trayvon Martin on Monday, March 26, 2012. Martin is the Florida teenager who was gunned down by a neighborhood watchman. Police have come under rapid fire for their decision not charge George Zimmerman, who claims he shot the 17-year-old in self-defense. The rally is also in protests of gun laws in Florida, Georgia and otherstates known as "Stand your Ground." Phil Skinner, pskinner@ajc.com
